WFF Scholarships Overview

Each year, we invite online applications from students who meet our selection criteria. They are girls going into Year 11 and are in the top quartile in terms of their academic achievements to date, have demonstrated leadership qualities and commitment to both school and community and are at risk of not continuing their education by virtue of poverty or difficult family circumstances.

We convene a qualified selection panel made up of WFF Staff and partners who hold formal interviews with shortlisted candidates. This give girls the opportunity to talk about themselves, their personal circumstances, their aspirations and ambitions.

A panel reviews all applications and then submits their recomendations to the Vanuatu Committee for review. The final ist then goes to the Foundation Board for approval. Once approved, written confirmation is provided to the School, and arrangements made to provide the agreed financial support.

WFF covers all school fees and boarding costs not met by the Vanuatu Government, and subject to a satisfactory annual report, the Foundation will continue that level of support through the scholars remaining years in Secondary School. WFF provides mentoring, leadership training and pastoral care to the scholars for the duration of the program.

WFF also provides the first year of Tertiary or Vocational training (this is dependant on WFF Funding Policy and support may be extended as funding permits)
